S33p Cytisus striatus and C. commutatus fields

New search

Description

Cold-sensitive analogue of S33n, S33w, S33y and S33z, never too far from coastal areas (especially in sandy soils associated with sandstones or gray dunes) or, only Cytisus striatus, in the southwestern submediterranean sector (sunnier and drier in summer), where it tends to appear at lower elevations than S33w (i.e. successionally associated to woodlands of the units T1Bx and T211 —or transitions thereof—rather than T19A). It is mostly coincident with EUNIS level V unit S3343 (“Northwestern Iberian Cytisus fields), but its neat ecological and biogeographical in the ecoregion deserves recognition at level IV.
