About the project

IBEROATLANTICA is an online database to synthetize plant diversity of the Ibero-Atlantic biogeographic region (SW Europe), coordinated by the Vegetation & Biodiversity Lab, a research group affiliated to the Department of Organismal and Systems Biology of the University of Oviedo and the Biodiversity Research Institute, IMIB (University of Oviedo – CSIC – Principality of Asturias). The project has been funded by the Ayuntamiento of Gijón/Xixón to the scientific team of the Jardín Botánico Atlántico (SV-23-GIJÓN-JBA). The database is primarily based on vegetation data contributed by SIVIM, www.sivim.info/sivi/. The website architecture has been provided by PLADIAS, pladias.cz.
